About My Practice

A Life of Balance

The foundation of my instructing combines the physical body with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, I strive to promote an understanding of the interdependency of all of these aspects in your personal health and wellbeing.

Jewel Yoga & Wellness has grown into a multi-faceted practice offering a robust schedule of daily classes, workshops and wellness offerings. I’ve partnered with many local and experienced Reiki masters, Cranial Sacral therapists, masseurs, meditation leaders, and Ayurvedic practitioners (Jyotish, Marma and Panchakarma/Shirodhara), life and health coaches, and many other energy and light workers to bring together qualified healers and health specialists who are ready to put their energy and skills towards helping you reach your goals - body, mind and spirit. Everyone in our practice believes in establishing an energy balance and flow in the chakras and energetic field of the body. Yoga Instructor

I came to yoga to find grounding, personal empowerment and physical restoration. The experience of following the yogic path was life-changing in all the ways I knew in my soul that it would be.


After years of practicing through various yogis and yogic methods, I found that I had most comfortably settled into a practice that combined Vinyasa yoga, meditation, Eastern-based wellness, great nutrition, and Ayurvedic medicine.


I trained and received my yoga instructor certification in Costa Rica at the highly esteemed Nexus Institute for Yoga and Wellness, and I decided almost immediately that the benefits I received from my thorough and deeply grounding education and strengthen practice must be shared by helping others reach their goals, and that yoga and wellness would be my path to do just that.

Hands Together

Yin Yoga

This particular class helps build a strong core from which one can transition into new positions and exercises. This flow centers around control and precision, with a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.

Vinyasa Yoga

This popular class is based on the belief that mental and physical health are interrelated, and should be conditioned together. All of the classes at Jewel Yoga and Wellness attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help participants regain control of their body and mind.

Ashtanga Yoga

Focus on the present moment. Among its many benefits, this class helps improve numerous aspects of your life including reaction time and short term memory. Those who have tried this practice have described feeling more relaxed and less distracted by their fleeting thoughts, demonstrating an enhanced ability to solve problems and recall information better.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga helps provide that physical and mental balance to prevent stress and anxiety, through the use of props that allow you to hold poses longer, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching.
